How to Measure Your Windows

To make sure your window treatments look flawless we strongly recommend that you get a professional installer to perform check measures and installation for you. We provide professional check measurements at a rate of $135 for up to 4 windows. However, if you would like to do the check measure by yourself, please provide us with your window measurements by following the instructions below. We will need these measurements if you would like us to give you a price quote.

Regular Window Measurements

Step 1: Measure the width of the window from one end of the outside frame to the other Step 2: Measure the length of the window from the outside of the top frame to the outside of the bottom frame Step 3: Measure the length from the outside of the top frame to the floor Step 4: Measure the length from the ceiling to the top of the window frame regular window measurements

Bay & Bow Window Measurements

There are 2 options when it comes to window coverings for bay and bow windows, you can go straight across or you can follow the shape of the bay or bow window.

If you want to go straight across, please follow these steps

Step 1: Take a straight measurement of the width of the window from one end of the outside frame to the other end of the outside frame.

Step 2: Measure the length of the window from the outside of the top frame to the outside of the bottom frame

Step 3: Measure the length from the outside of the top frame to the floor

Step 4: Measure the length from the ceiling to the top of the window frame

bay or bow window measurements - straight

Arched Window Measurements

Step 1: Measure the width of the window from one end of the outside frame to the other

Step 2: Measure the length of the window from the highest point of the top frame to the outside of the bottom frame and/or to the floor, depending on the type of treatment you desire

Step 3: Measure the length from the highest point of the top frame to the floor

Step 4: Measure the length from the ceiling to the highest point of the top frame
